Brown's is the old coaching inn on King Street in Laugharne, built in 1752 and, for a while, Dylan Thomas's local — he drank here, and the place has trod the line between shrine and working pub ever since. Martyn Ingram and Melanie Hamilton-Searle bought it in 2020 and restored it as a bar, restaurant and small hotel, keeping the Thomas connection without turning it into a museum. The bar pours Felinfoel's Double Dragon, from the independent Llanelli brewery down the road; the kitchen, Dexters, cooks properly. In a town defined by one poet, Brown's is where you feel him most. Stay the night if you can; drink where he drank either way.
