Beer Park

Dave Timbrell-Hill opened Beer Park in Dafen, on the industrial estate outside Llanelli, in 2021, working alongside Fran Austin. The shop stocks around 600 beers and ciders, weighted heavily toward Wales: roughly 200 lines come from more than fifty small Welsh breweries, sitting alongside German lager, Belgian ale and international craft styles. Customers can drink in, buy bottles to take home, or order nationwide delivery, and the tasting room runs weekly sessions built around a single style or region. Timbrell-Hill has said his aim was to build a specialist beer shop that would not look out of place in a larger city, brought instead to a Carmarthenshire trading estate. The business reached the final of the Independent Beer and Cider Retailer category at the 2025 Drinks Retailing Awards, judged against shops from across the UK.
