Prime Cuts has traded from a basement beneath the RePsycho vintage clothing shop at 85 Gloucester Road since the early 2000s, marking twenty-five years in business with a fundraising event in 2026. It is owned and run by DJ Mike Savage and stocks more than 60,000 second-hand vinyl records spanning most genres, drawing a regular clientele of collectors, DJs and producers rather than passing trade. The shop has no dedicated retail website, selling instead through in-person crate-digging, an eBay store and social media, and has kept the same basement premises throughout its run on Gloucester Road. It is open Monday and Tuesday to Saturday, treated locally as one of Bristol's longer-running specialist record dealers, distinguished by its focus on second-hand stock bought and sold directly with customers rather than new releases.
