Rab Ha's takes its name from Robert Hall, a nineteenth-century Glaswegian known as the Glesga Glutton for feats of eating that reputedly included a stone of potatoes in one sitting; he died in 1843. The bar and kitchen occupies 83 Hutcheson Street in Merchant City, behind stripped stone walls, wood panelling and an open fire, with guest rooms upstairs. Owners Robert and Angela Mullen took over in 2017 and refurbished the interior while keeping its character as a neighbourhood institution rather than a themed outlet. The kitchen serves Scottish bar food alongside cask ales and cocktails, and the space doubles for private functions. It operates as a standalone Merchant City address under its own name, distinct from other venues under the same ownership group.
