Garth Gulland moved to Glasgow's West End from London in the early 1970s and in 1980 took the ground floor of the red-sandstone Caledonian Mansions on Great Western Road for a fruit-and-veg merchant that grew, over the decades, into the full trio the name promises — greengrocer, deli and florist, with a café threaded through, still with Gulland listed as director. A second shop trades in Finnieston, disclosed as the pair. The West End does its weekly shop, its dinner-party provisioning and its apology bouquets in one stop here, seven days a week; forty-five years on, the Kelvinbridge corner would look wrong without it.
