The Savoy Theatre occupies the oldest working theatre site in Wales, first licensed for entertainment in 1832 when the building housed the town's Assembly Rooms. It was rebuilt and reopened as a cinema in 1928, and today the Grade II listed building is run by a charitable trust, staging live drama, comedy and music alongside a regular film programme.
