Rockfield Studios

A working farm turned recording studio, founded by brothers Kingsley and Charles Ward, who converted outbuildings at the family's Amberley Court farm into what is generally regarded as the world's first residential studio during the 1960s. Bands still live on site while recording, and the studio's credits include material by Queen and Oasis. It remains in operation on the original farm site rather than as a franchised or multi-site business.
