Coffiology occupies a converted shop on Caerleon's High Street, run by owner Barrie Desmond, who sources beans from Coaltown Coffee Roasters in Ammanford. The café doubles as a flexible workspace, offering hot desks and a meeting room alongside its coffee counter, with free printing and scanning for people working through the day. Seating fills a single narrow room with an industrial-style fit-out of exposed brick and simple wooden furniture. The kitchen prepares breakfast rolls, toasties and cakes to order, and the counter stocks gluten-free options alongside standard pastries. Desmond, an independent trader, has said he prefers to buy supplies from other local businesses rather than national wholesalers. Coffiology opens early on weekdays for the commuter trade and stays open into the evening on Fridays and Saturdays for a later crowd.
