The Bell Inn on Bulmore Road dates from 1602 and is a Grade II listed former coaching inn, one of the oldest licensed buildings in Caerleon. The pub keeps a low-beamed bar with a log burner, a separate restaurant area and a garden, and has won the CAMRA Welsh Cider Pub of the Year title for the range and quality of ciders served alongside its cask ales. It holds Cask Marque accreditation for its beer. Head chef Rickie Ash runs a kitchen serving dishes such as slow-cooked duck pasta and beef and red-wine suet pudding, built around seasonal produce from local suppliers. Live music runs every Sunday evening from 5pm, with a rotating line-up of local musicians. The pub trades as a single site under THEBELLINNCAERLEON LIMITED, close to the River Usk and a short walk from Caerleon's Roman amphitheatre and fortress baths. It opens Tuesday to Sunday, with food served at lunch and dinner.
