Shakedown Records has traded from 15 Watling Street in Fenny Stratford, Bletchley, since 1992, making it one of the longest-running independent record shops in the Milton Keynes area. The shop stocks new and secondhand vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, DVDs and books, spanning genres from classical to hip hop, along with music memorabilia and clothing. Its stock focuses on rarer and harder-to-find pressings sold at prices aimed at collectors and casual buyers alike. The shop is a single-site independent business rather than part of a chain, run from the same Watling Street premises for over three decades. Fenny Stratford's Watling Street follows the line of the old Roman road through Bletchley, giving the shop's location its own local history.
