MK Biergarten opened in 2016 as Milton Keynes' first micropub and bottle shop, in a small retail unit on Wolverton Park Road beside the Grand Union Canal. The bottle fridges hold more than two hundred beers, ciders, wines and spirits organised by style and region, from German lagers to American IPAs, alongside a corner bar pouring one changing cask ale, often from a local brewery, and six keg lines of craft beer. Growler fills are available for customers who bring their own container home. A monthly Bierclub session works through a themed style or region in more depth, and Friday nights bring in a local street food vendor to cook alongside the drinks. As a free house it is not tied to any single brewery, and the beer list changes according to what the owners have found and liked.
