The Craufurd Arms occupies a building on Stratford Road, Wolverton, dating from 1905. During the 1970s and 1980s it hosted touring bands including The Cure, The Specials and The Selecter, before later closing and reopening as a dedicated live music venue in 2008. Since 2013 it has been owned and run by Max Harvey and Jason Hall, who operate it as an independent venue rather than part of a chain, with a 275-capacity main room and a 200-capacity bar stage. The programme covers touring and local acts across rock, metal, punk and indie, alongside comedy nights, quizzes, record fairs and tribute shows. An in-house coffee shop, the Green Room, opened in recent years to trade during daytime hours alongside the evening gig programme. The venue takes part in the annual national Independent Venue Week listings, reflecting its place among small UK live music rooms outside London.
