Skehan's is a traditional Irish free house at 1 Kitto Road in Nunhead, in a building that has traded as a pub since the 1890s, originally under the name the Duke of Albany. It is owned by Bryan Fitzsimons, from Foynes in County Limerick, and is family-run rather than tied to a brewery or pub company. The pub hosts live folk, trad and rock music six nights a week, alongside a Thai kitchen run by Madam Chai serving food daily from 5pm to 9.30pm and Sunday roasts from midday to 4pm. There is a wood-burning stove for winter trade, a pool table, darts and a garden at the rear. Opening hours run from midday or 2pm depending on the day through to as late as midnight on Friday and Saturday. Time Out named it the best pub in London in 2023. It trades from this single Nunhead premises and is not part of a wider pub group.
