Fay and Dane run Stables Guest House on Corsbie Road in Newton Stewart, a five-bedroom guest house about two hundred metres from the town's high street and close to the edge of Galloway Forest Park. Dane is a qualified bike mechanic and keeps a workshop and storage unit for guests travelling by bicycle, alongside advice on local trails. All five bedrooms are en suite, split between the ground and first floors, and the dining room opens into a conservatory where breakfast uses local produce where possible. A residents' lounge stocked with books and maps gives walkers and cyclists somewhere to plan routes into the Galloway hills after a day outdoors. Rooms start at £37.50 per person per night.
