The Bowden Lodge is a bed and breakfast in a restored Victorian villa on Albert Road in Southport, run by Andrew and Jane Gibbs since September 2016. The house has en-suite guest rooms, each individually decorated, with capacity for up to twenty-four overnight guests, and sits on the continuation of Lord Street, Southport's main Victorian shopping street, within walking distance of the promenade and town centre. Guests are given a cooked breakfast each morning, and rooms include tea and coffee facilities, free WiFi, flat-screen televisions and work desks alongside garden views from the rear of the property. The Gibbs run the guesthouse as a single, independently owned property rather than as part of a hotel group, and the building's restoration has kept period features such as high ceilings and sash windows alongside modern bathrooms. It draws visitors attending events at Southport's exhibition and conference venues as well as leisure travellers visiting the seafront and golf courses nearby.
