The CraftyBeer Cave

The Crafty Beer Cave opened in 2023 in Cawdry Buildings off Fountain Street in Leek, on a site that had previously traded as the BeerDock and later the Hideout. The single-site bottle shop and taproom stocks an extensive rotating range of craft beers from breweries across the UK alongside local Staffordshire Moorlands ales on tap, covering hop-forward IPAs, stouts, lagers and sours. Customers can drink in or take bottles and cans away, and the shop runs occasional meet-the-brewer tasting evenings. Exposed brick and simple bench seating give the taproom an unfussy feel, distinct from the traditional pubs and micropubs that make up the rest of Leek's real ale trail. It sits within walking distance of the town's Wednesday and Saturday market.
