Three HorseshoesCountry Inn

The Kirk family has run the Three Horseshoes at Blackshaw Moor since 1981, building a country inn, restaurant, and the Mill Wheel Spa on a site facing the Roaches on the edge of the Staffordshire Peak District. Rooms range from simple pub bedrooms to four-poster suites with private outdoor cedar hot tubs. The restaurant holds an AA Rosette, and Enjoy Staffordshire's tourism awards have given the kitchen gold twice, in 2019 and 2022. Alton Towers is roughly twenty minutes away by car, which brings theme park visitors to the inn alongside walkers heading onto the moor. Public rooms are dog-friendly throughout, and the inn also holds an AA four-star silver rating for its accommodation.
