The Foundling Museum tells the story of the Foundling Hospital, Britain's first children's charity, founded in 1739 by shipwright Thomas Coram. Displayed across a Georgian townhouse are paintings donated by early governors and supporters, including works connected to William Hogarth and George Frideric Handel, alongside archives documenting the children the hospital took in.
