The KingsYard Micropub

The Kings Yard is an independent, two-storey micropub in the centre of Shifnal, at 2 Cheapside off Bradford Street. It opened in May 2021 and is run by Adam Caton through Kings Yard Micro Pub Ltd, with no brewery tie. The focus is on cask ale from four hand-pulls, plus a rotating list that has run well past eighty different beers, alongside real cider, and it trades on being a community local rather than a food-led pub. Conversation, rather than screens and loud music, sets the tone, in keeping with the micropub model of a single small room built for talking. It sits among Shifnal's older buildings near the parish church, within walking distance of the railway station, and keeps limited, mainly afternoon-to-evening hours.
