The Print Project is a letterpress studio run by Nick Loaring and Lucy Johnson from the Q20 Theatre Creative Arts Hub in Shipley, printing with wood and metal type on Heidelberg, Korrex, Autovic, Vandercook and Farley presses. Founded in 2010, the studio produces posters and printed pieces using techniques and specialty finishes unavailable through modern digital printing, work that has appeared in Eye Magazine and is held in collections at Tate and the London Centre for Book Arts. Prints are sold through an on-site shop, and the studio runs workshops for people of all ages to learn hand-set type and cylinder printing directly on the presses. The workshop operates by appointment, so visitors are asked to get in touch before calling in rather than dropping by unannounced.
