Fanny's is a real-ale free house in Saltaire, converted in 1996 from an old haberdashery and pet shop and run independently ever since — gas lamps, bare boards, nine handpumps and a wall of keg taps, and no brewery or pub company behind it. It sits in Titus Salt's model village, a short walk from Salts Mill, and has become one of the best-loved drinkers' pubs in the Aire valley on the strength of its beer alone. No food, no theme: a proper independent ale house of the old sort. Go up the stairs to the quieter room and settle in.
