The Shoulder of Mutton is a village pub on Church Street in Bradwell, serving customers since 1937 and run for the past 15 years by Lynne and Nick. The pub keeps a traditional layout either side of the bar, a lounge and a tap room with pub games, and pours a range of beers, ales, wines and spirits alongside home-cooked food, including steak and ale pie and a Sunday roast with Yorkshire puddings. Two regular beers are kept on, along with a rotating guest ale. Four en-suite bedrooms are let above the pub, and a small cafe operates on weekday and Friday mornings for breakfast and lunch. The business holds a five-star food hygiene rating and continues to trade as an independent, family-run free house in the centre of the village, within the Hope Valley area of the Peak District National Park.
