Tinnisburn Plants is a family-run nursery at Upper Millsteads, up a farm track above Canonbie in eastern Dumfriesshire. Run by Helen and a small team, it has built a 1.5-acre display garden over more than thirty years, including a rockery, bog garden, woodland area, and wildflower meadow. The nursery holds two National Plant Collections, Meconopsis (George Sherriff Group) and Scilla, and has won awards at RHS Malvern, RHS Hampton Court, RHS Tatton Park, and Gardener's World Live. Stock focuses on hardy perennials and nectar-rich plants for pollinators. The nursery opens to visitors on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from April to August, plus extra dates in November and December for wreath-making. A small tearoom serves visitors on open days, and online orders are sent UK-wide year-round.
