Two Valleys FreshProduce, Meltham

Two Valleys Fresh Produce is a deli and butcher's counter opened in May 2011 by the Bamforth family, whose farms in the Colne and Holme valleys had supplied cattle and pigs to the wholesale market, along with a Huddersfield milk round, for decades beforehand. The single-site shop at 4 Greens End Road in Meltham, on the edge of Holmfirth, sells pork reared on the family's own farm at Slaithwaite, made into pies, dry-cured bacon and sausages on the premises. Its pork pies have won Gold and Silver at the BPEX pork industry awards, and the shop runs a sandwich counter for hot and cold lunches. Now overseen by the second and third generations of the Bamforth family, it trades as the retail arm of a farming business with roots across both valleys that give the shop its name.
