Wharf Distillery

Wharf Distillery is an independent grain-to-glass distillery on Brackley Road in Towcester, founded in 2011 as one of the region's few producers to distil spirit from raw grain on site rather than buying in base alcohol. The team makes English whisky, gin in several regional variants, rum, vodka, apple brandy and a range of liqueurs, alongside contract distilling and small-batch bottling for other drinks brands. The retail shop and visitor space sit alongside the working stills, with gin-school sessions, tastings and small-group experiences bookable in advance. The shop opens Monday to Friday 10am until 4pm and Saturday 10am until 1pm, closed Sunday, with limited on-site parking. Wharf Distillery supplies bottle shops and pubs across Northamptonshire and sells direct through its own online shop. It remains under independent ownership rather than part of a larger drinks group, distinguishing it from contract-only producers in the county.
