Towcester Museum occupies White Horse Yard at 163-165 Watling Street, covering 4,000 years of the town's history through artefacts, dioramas and detailed models. Displays include the Road Through History exhibition and Towcester's contribution to the Great War, plus a dressing-up area for children and a gift shop. Run by Towcester Museum Trust and open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Adults £3.50, children £2. Named Heritage Site of the Year 2016 by the Northamptonshire Heritage Forum.
