Babur has served modern Indian food from the same corner of Brockley Rise in Forest Hill since 1985, run today by head chef Jiwan Lal with a focus on regional dishes rarely found elsewhere in London. Exposed brick, timber furniture and Bengali artwork furnish the dining room, and a help-yourself Sunday buffet remains a long-running fixture for locals.
