Opened in October 1966 in a former motorcycle shop on Kirkdale, this two-floor shop is thought to be the oldest independent bookshop in south-east London still trading. It stocks new and second-hand titles alongside cards and gifts, runs a small gallery upstairs, and originally started the Sydenham Arts Festival before handing it on to a larger committee.
