Basalt &Dune

Basalt & Dune is a gift and homeware shop at 4 Ty Eurvil, Maes Dyfed, in St Davids, run by the mother-and-daughter pairing of painter Nicola and graphic designer Gabrielle. The single shop stocks original landscape paintings and prints by Nicola alongside ceramics, jewellery, skincare and homewares made by craftspeople across Wales and the Marches. The interior's earthy palette, drawn from Nicola's paintings of the surrounding coast, changes gradually with the seasons. Stock is chosen to encourage browsing at an unhurried pace rather than a quick transaction, with an emphasis on locally made goods over imported gift-shop staples. The shop opens Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 4pm, from February to December each year, and has no branches beyond this St Davids premises.
