Beckett + Sons occupies a stone building on Sandwick Road, a short walk from Stornoway harbour, serving coffee and brunch what the owners call the Hebridean way. The couple behind the counter returned to Lewis after working in coffee shops in Melbourne and Edinburgh, bringing that experience home to open their own space. They pull Square Mile beans through the espresso machine and bake most of the menu on site, with a brunch list built around a strong vegetarian core alongside sandwiches, soups, bagels and waffles. The room fills with locals and ferry passengers alike through the working week. Open Monday to Saturday from eight, Sunday from nine, it closes by mid-afternoon on Sundays. British filter coffee culture meets island produce in a compact, workmanlike setting close to the water.
