Blackmore Farm is a Grade I listed manor house built around 1480 for Sir Thomas Tremayle, with an attached chapel and features including oak beams, stone archways and open fireplaces. The Dyer family has farmed the land since 1952, when Ken Dyer and his brother David took on the tenancy with 171 acres and nine cows; the farm has since grown to 850 acres and 200 cattle. Ian and Ann Dyer now run the hospitality side of the business, offering bed and breakfast in three rooms within the manor house and further rooms converted from a courtyard cider press barn, several with four-poster beds. Breakfast is served in the great hall at a 20-foot oak refectory table beneath wall-hung tapestries and suits of armour. A farm shop and café operate on site, and the house is also licensed for weddings.
