The Blue Bell Deli & Bistro occupies a building on New Quay's harbourfront that stood derelict for six years before a family took it on and rebuilt it from the shell up, reopening in April 2016. Set directly opposite the pier, the dining room and deli counter overlook the harbour and Cardigan Bay. By day the kitchen serves a full Welsh breakfast, light lunches and salads, moving in the evening to dressed local crab and lobster and a fuller fish-led menu, while the deli counter sells cakes and locally roasted coffee. It operates as a single, independently run bistro and deli rather than part of a wider group, trading under the same family since its reopening, with the renovation preserving the building's harbourside frontage while updating it for year-round trade.
