Jason Burley and Sam Fisher, between them decades in bookselling and publishing, opened Burley Fisher on Kingsland Road in Haggerston in 2016, and were twice named London Bookshop of the Year, in 2021 and 2022. It is a properly curated independent — a sharp front-of-shop selection, an events space downstairs, and the sort of staff picks you trust.
