Celf AranArts

Sixteen local artists and craftspeople share the running of Celf Aran Arts, a cooperative shop under the arches at Eldon Square in Dolgellau, each taking a turn behind the counter. The work on display spans ceramics, woodturning, jewellery, textiles, photography and painting, alongside honey and beeswax from members who keep bees locally. A rotating group of around three guest makers joins the resident sixteen each month, so the stock changes through the year even as the core group stays the same. Signage and the shop's own website run bilingually in Welsh and English, in keeping with Meirionnydd's everyday use of the language, and winter hours run an hour shorter than the summer 10am to 5pm.
