Chase Farm Shop sits on Weeford Road on the edge of Sutton Coldfield, run by the Smith family whose butchery trade traces back to a shop opened by John Smith in Cambridgeshire in 1870, later expanded into Birmingham by G.A. Smith. The current site combines a butchery counter making its own sausages, pies and dry-cured bacon with a farm shop selling fruit, vegetables, free-range eggs, preserves and seasonal plants. A café runs alongside, serving breakfast and lunch made with meat from the counter next door. The shop trades seven days a week, opening at 9am and closing at 5pm on weekdays and Saturdays, 4pm on Sundays, and supplies its own bacon and pies alongside stock from other British producers.
