Coleraine Garden Centre sits on a five-acre site at Dunhill Road in Macosquin, just outside Coleraine, and has traded under its current name since 1993, with the family behind it citing a working knowledge of growing plants going back to 1888. The centre grows and sells trees, shrubs, roses, alpine and herbaceous plants, along with fruit trees, compost, bark and pond plants. A pet accessories section and a range of ceramic and resin pots are sold alongside the growing stock. It operates independently of the larger garden centre groups found elsewhere in Northern Ireland, run instead as a single site rather than part of a multi-branch retail chain. Opening hours run daily from 8am to 5pm. The business draws custom from Coleraine, Portstewart and the surrounding countryside rather than passing tourist trade, serving as a working nursery and garden supplier for the area rather than a visitor attraction in its own right.
