Corbridge Garden Room opened on Market Place in 2012 as a family-run shop selling an edited mix of homeware, gifts and garden accessories. Owners hand-pick stock from British makers and small suppliers rather than buying to a franchise list, filling shelves with kitchenware, candles, cards, cushions and outdoor pots that change with the seasons. The shop occupies a single unit on Corbridge's Market Place and has not expanded to other Northumberland towns since opening. Trading hours run Monday to Saturday, with the shop closed on Sundays. Regular customers include residents furnishing homes in the surrounding villages of Riding Mill and Stocksfield as well as visitors browsing Corbridge's independent shops. Now in its second decade, the business remains under its founding family's ownership, distinguishing it from the multiple-branch gift retailers found in nearby Hexham and Newcastle.
