Dale Sailing has operated from Brunel Quay in Neyland since 1961, when Campbell Reynolds founded the company; his sons John and Mike joined as the business expanded onto the quay in 1983, a stretch of the Cleddau Estuary once tied to Brunel's transatlantic ambitions for the port. The single-site operation runs wildlife boat trips to the islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm, and is the only operator licensed to land passengers on Skomer, home to puffins, seals and one of the largest Manx shearwater colonies in the world. Trips run seasonally alongside chandlery and marine services from the same quayside base. More than sixty years after its founding, the company remains under family ownership, still working the same stretch of water where it began.
