Dorshi occupies an alley address beside The Bull Hotel on Chancery Lane, run by Jollyon Carter and Radhika Mohendas, who opened the permanent restaurant in 2016 after several years trading as a street food stall at festivals around the country. Carter settled in Bridport in 2011 following years working abroad, and the kitchen's approach draws on East Asian dumpling and noodle traditions reworked with West Country ingredients rather than imported staples. Dumplings are hand-folded and noodles hand-pulled to order, served as seasonal sharing plates alongside a list of loose-leaf teas. The pair have sought out lesser-known regional herbs and worked directly with growers who share their approach to slow food. The compact dining room serves a fixed Monday set menu alongside an evening à la carte from Wednesday to Saturday.
