Fron Goch Garden Centre sits on the western edge of Caernarfon at Llanfaglan and is owned and run by the Williams family, who bought the three-acre site in 1981 and grew fruit and vegetables for local shops before converting the old tomato glasshouse into a garden centre in the mid-1990s. Much of its bedding and hardy plant stock is still raised on site, with a guarantee offered on hardy plants. Alongside the plant areas the centre carries tools, pots, composts, gifts and homeware, a farm shop and a pet section, and a restaurant was added in 2007. The Garden Centre Association named it the best garden centre in the United Kingdom in its 2024 awards. It remains a single, family-owned business rather than part of a national group, with a large free car park served by the number 91 bus.
