Life: Full Colour began in 2020 when Sara McKee, an art historian who had wanted to run a gallery since her student days in the 1980s, opened a space on Hole in the Wall Street in Caernarfon. The gallery has since moved to Y Segontiwm, a combined gallery and music room on Segontiwm Terrace, where changing exhibitions sit alongside period antiques and a picture-framing service. Represented artists include Ann Lewis PRCA, Jan Gardner RCA and Peter Mattinson, with work spanning abstracts, landscape, portraiture and seascape. Evenings bring live music into the same rooms, blurring the line between gallery opening and gig. The space opens Thursday to Saturday from midday until 11pm, with other visits available by appointment, and entry to exhibitions is free.
