Garden World Nurseries operates from Killycolp Road on the edge of Cookstown, within a small garden centre complex that also houses a handful of independently run shops and a restaurant. The nursery itself is run by proprietor Alan Thompson, a horticulturist trained at the University of Ulster and Greenmount College who previously worked at the National Trust's Baronscourt Nurseries. Garden World grows a large share of its own plants on site, making up seasonal pots and hanging baskets alongside stock bought in from other local growers. The centre stocks bedding plants and shrubs, seeds from Thompson and Morgan, Westland composts, Wolf Garden tools and Gilmore-built timber sheds, plus made-to-order garden buildings such as playhouses, swings and dog kennels. It opens seven days a week, with shorter hours on Sundays.
