Central Bar

Central Bar sits on Main Street in Coalisland behind a modern frontage that gives no hint of what is inside: a public bar retaining a bar-back fitting around a century old, with a six-bay mirrored back panel topped by a carved broken pediment and turned columns. CAMRA lists the interior on its National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors as being of special interest. A separate off-licence trades from its own entrance beside the bar, and a plainer lounge with pool tables runs at the rear for a younger crowd. The pub keeps to a straightforward drinks and off-sales trade rather than food, opening Monday to Saturday from 10am and Sunday afternoons. It was last surveyed by CAMRA in 2023 and continues to trade as one bar under one roof, with no other branches.
