Hamble River Boat Charter operates from Swanwick Marina, on the opposite bank of the river from Hamble village, running trips aboard Gull, a launch built in 1958 by R A Hamper of Fareham for the Hamble to Warsash ferry crossing. The current owners restored the boat and replaced its original engine with an electric motor, giving a quiet ride along the tidal river past moorings, marshes and the waterside villages nearby. Trips run as skippered charters for up to eight passengers comfortably, or up to twelve by arrangement, with afternoon tea packages available on request. Bareboat hire is also offered for those wanting to take Gull out themselves. Bookings are taken through the company's website, by phone or by email.
