Hill & Szrok opened on Broadway Market in 2014 — a master butcher by day, a candle-lit cookshop by night, run by Luca Mathiszig-Lee with the butcher Tom Richardson Hill and the chef Alex Szrok. It buys whole animals direct from small family farms, cutting out the middlemen, and cooks a short menu of that same meat in the evening on the marble counter. An owner-run butcher that doubles as one of the best-value tables in east London. Buy the dry-aged beef, or come back after dark to eat it.
