HK Pender has traded on Bank Street in Coatbridge since 1924, making it one of the town's longest-established food shops. Run by the Pender family, it combines a butchery, a bakery and a deli counter under one roof. Beef is sourced from Gaindykehead Farm, with lamb and pork also bought from local suppliers, and much of the range is cured and prepared in house. The deli counter carries cold cuts, pies, pastries and cakes baked on the premises. Close to a century of trading has kept it a fixture on the Coatbridge high street, and the shop now pairs its counter with an online store for wider delivery across Scotland. The business is independently owned and works from this single Coatbridge site.
