Kate Marshall runs her ceramics studio from her own home at 6 Beechen Cliff in Bear Flat, teaching pottery in groups capped at three or four students for individual attention. Courses include a six-week throwing course, a six-week hand-building and throwing course, and a three-session raku pottery course using the horsehair raku technique. One-off introductory sessions run for three hours and cover the wheel from scratch. Materials are included in most multi-week bookings, and some courses come with coffee and cake partway through. There are no fixed opening times; visits and lessons are arranged directly with Marshall by appointment. Alongside teaching, she makes and sells stoneware bowls and raku pieces, with lamp bases listed through an Etsy shop.
