Kathy Priddis throws stoneware by hand in a garden studio cabin at Round Oak Cottage, Bridstow, using clay she digs locally and weathers in rainwater before sieving it into slips. She decorates pieces with ammonite sprigs, wax resist and sgraffito, then finishes them in celadon glazes that turn blue, green or purple depending on how the kiln runs. She offers two-hour one-to-one sessions on the wheel by arrangement alongside a weekly art and drawing class for adults. Her pots are stocked at the Kilpeck Inn nearby, and she opens the studio during the twice-yearly h.Art Open Studios and four Forest and Rivers events each year. The workshop sits down a farm track opposite an oak tree, a short drive from Ross-on-Wye.
