Kirsty Taylor trained as a goldsmith from 2004 before opening her own workshop and shop at Jubilee Buildings on Middle Street, Corbridge, where she has now traded for more than a decade. Working in gold, silver and platinum, she and a small team handcraft rings, pendants and wedding bands using traditional bench tools, drawing design cues from ancient and unearthed jewellery forms. Commissions are made to order in the workshop behind the shop floor, and customers can arrange consultations to design bespoke pieces rather than choosing from mass-produced stock. The business operates from this single Corbridge address only, with no second workshop or retail branch elsewhere in Northumberland. Opening hours run Tuesday to Saturday, with a shorter Monday session and the shop closed on Sundays, and the combination of retail counter and working bench in one small-town premises sets it apart from chain jewellers.
