Le Bistro des Amis sits just off Skipton's high street on Jerry Croft, run by French-born chef Luc Dagazon since he opened it in 2010. The kitchen serves a Franco-Yorkshire menu: classic French dishes and modern European plates sit alongside British favourites, with ingredients sourced locally where possible and specialist items brought in from French markets. The room is small and informal, suited equally to a quick coffee at the bar or a three-course dinner. An early bird menu runs on weekday evenings before six, and Sunday lunch draws families with a fixed price for children. Dagazon previously worked at Salvo's in Leeds before bringing his own restaurant to Skipton, and the bistro has built a loyal following among locals rather than passing trade.
